Job Overview

PIXO is searching for a CTO to join our rapidly growing team. The CTO will be a “technology partner”, responsible for the technical vision and architecture of our cutting-edge products. The CTO will combine hands-on technical skills with the ability to inspire and lead others. He/she will partner with the existing executive team to lead the technical direction within the company. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in strategic discussions with the executive team, customers and other stakeholders
  • Take a hands-on role in leading the visioning, planning, development and implementation of the technology roadmap, including evaluation and necessary adjustments to the existing technology stack
  • Leverage personal experience combined with thorough market research and analysis to bring a sound viewpoint to technology strategy
  • Determine how the technical organization is structured and then build and coach the technology team to match that vision
  • Lead the selection and evaluation of technology solutions, including buy versus build analysis
  • Oversee the architecture and operation of the company’s technology infrastructure
  • Ensure system security, data privacy compliance and data integrity across all systems
  • Communicate regular updates to the leadership team of progress on the strategic technology roadmap and priorities
  • Drive significant technology projects of high complexity to successful implementation, while using stakeholder feedback to make necessary adjustments and improvements
  • Act as an excellent role model and hold team members accountable to core values, high professional standards, communications and goals
  • Represent PIXO’s technology thought leadership through speaking opportunities, conference participation, published articles, board presentations, investor meetings and other industry opportunities

Skills and Qualifications

  • 10-12+ years developing technology solutions 
  • Broad range of recent hands-on experience across the entire technology stack
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience mentoring technical teams
  • Ability and willingness to communicate to all stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of and believer in Agile development practices
  • Expert problem solver that can teach others how to solve for themselves
  • Believer in best practices without being confined by them
  • Experience with B2B software and/or SaaS or PaaS solutions
