Job Overview

PIXO VR is searching for a QA Tester to join our team. The QA Tester will be responsible for the creation of tests to identify issues with software before the product launch. Duties include identifying and analyzing any bugs and errors found during the test phase and documenting them for review after. Other tasks include developing and running new tests, creating test plans, reporting on the results and collaborating with software developers to fix program issues. The testing process needs to be created and adapted for both VR Training programs, along with Web-Based technologies.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Creating and documenting thorough test cases
  • Running, executing, and understanding test cases with attention to detail
  • Identifying, recording, and verifying defects
  • Recommend improvements in software to enhance user experience
  • Solves problems through collaboration with the rest of the PIXO team
  • Communicate issues and escalate to the appropriate parties
  • Research and compare similar competitor products
  • Maintain updated knowledge of industry trends and advancements
  • Assisting with the maintenance of our Knowledge Base and Documentation
  • Understanding our internal software tools for managing the development and deployment of products (JIRA, Trello, Documentation360, Figma, etc)

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Web platform QA testing experience
  • QA experience in video games and/or virtual reality
  • Experience logging defects in bug tracking systems such as JIRA
  • Familiarity with Windows, iOS, and Android operating systems
  • Proven success within a group to achieve a timeline driven project
  • Experience in verification and regression of logged bugs
  • Understanding of software development life cycle and QA’s approach to each phase
  • Minor scripting or programming experience is a plus
  • QA Management experience a plus
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to sit in front of a computer for long hours at a time
