The VR Experience
This virtual reality leadership training begins by immersing leaders into a simulated work environment with two team members who report to the leader. The scenario involves Florence coming to the leader with a problem she’s having with Abeeku, another member of the team. She wants the leader to help her resolve her difficulties, but first the leader needs to understand what’s going on by asking questions. The scenario continues the next day, with the leader having a coffee with Abeeku, who has asked for some help checking the accuracy of his work. When Florence discovers this, she feels sidelined and a conflict erupts. The scenario continues when the leader asks Florence and Abeeku to join them to debrief on what happened. During this debrief, the leader will have the opportunity to practice conflict resolution techniques to attempt to resolve the conflict within the team. Leaders will be able to swap positions and see their verbal and non-verbal communication from the eyes of their team members so they can identify areas to improve. Leaders can repeat the VR conflict training as desired to refine these critical skills.
